Donald Trump just made an outrageous comment at his recent rally that did not sit well with a lot of people.
The POTUS seemingly hinted at his jealousy towards the popular military dog, Conan, who was wounded during the Navy SEAL raid that killed Isis leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
In his speech, Melania Trump’s husband took offense over the exposure that Conan received, which was evidently more than the attention that he received at that time.
“Remember the dog, great dog, Conan? When we took outright? We love Conan. Conan’s a tough dog. But when we took out Al-Baghdadi, Conan, remember this? Conan got more publicity than President Trump. That’s ok,” he said.
Political Flare journalist Jason Miciak then criticized Trump over his inability to construct longer and more sensible sentences. Based on his statement on Conan, the journalist said that Trump once again spoke like a third-grader.
Miciak also reacted to Trump’s statement about loving Conan by saying that this isn’t remotely true. Rather, it is more evident that Trump is using the military dog for the fame that he thinks he could receive.
Meanwhile, the Trump family proved to be very different from the previous first families that all had a dog in the White House. Last year, the POTUS explained why his family doesn’t have a dog at home during his rally in El Paso.
“How would I look walking a dog on the White House lawn? Feels a little phony to me. A lot of people say, ‘Oh, you should get a dog… It’s good politically.’ That’s not the relationship I had with people,” he said.
Four years ago, reports also claimed that a fan from Florida offered to give Trump a Goldendoodle. Sources claimed that the POTUS asked for the dog to be shown to his son, Barron Trump. However, there has been no update on whether or not the meeting pushed through.
